Hey all
We've decided to take a little look at some locally based designers and creatives along side the internationals.
The first of whom I would like to introduce you Sara Elin Nilsson.
We got in touch to learn a little more.

Age: 22
Location: Auckland (originated in Sweden)
Occupation: Recently started to develop my photography business Sara Elin Photography, so I'm currently self-employed.
When did you start taking photos?
I bought my first DSLR when I was still in high school. I played around with it for years, but didn't get good before I took a class in Minneapolis and finally started to learn the technical skills. After that it's just been an upward spiral, and my passion grows larger every time I'm doing a shoot.
Do you have any key influences?
I have one person I particularly look up to. Jonas Peterson is a Swedish photographer, situated in Brisbane, and I've been following his blog for years and years. He's living the life I'm dreaming of every day--travelling around the world, shooting weddings, creating magic. I hope I'm not imitating his work, but he's a big influence by the fact that he's such a big inspiration.
Equipment?
I'm mostly using the combo: Canon EOS Mark 5d II, with the lens 50mm f/1.4. But I also love the 100mm f/2.8 Macro L IS USM lens--especially with a 50mm lens reversed on top, for super macro.
Do you do any other arts?
Not really. I'm only into photography, but I'm exploring all different areas there is to it. Portraits, landscape, macro, IR, you name it. There's always something new to try and get better at.

You can either look at my Facebook page "Sara Elin Photography", or my website www.saraelin.com. I'm just starting a project where I'm gonna take portraits of a hundred strangers. I will post these continuously on my Facebook page during the year.
Any thing else interesting you want put out there?
I just wish to share one of my favorite quotes, and hope to inspire someone that (just like me two years ago) has a hard time taking that last step into the competitive field of art. "The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it." - Steve Jobs
